Mom's here!

Mom came to visit us for her birthday. We were lucky to get her here after all of Redoubt's eruptions! We were supposed to go to a steakhouse for her dinner, but ended up going to a seafood place. Today (Monday the 30th) we're getting massages and our nails did. And finally that steak dinner!James and Mom at the Kemah boardwalk.
We saw a lot of clam holes on the beach at Galveston. Next are a few pictures of our beachcoming finds on the beach.
A dead sting ray!
Tiny clams growing on an old flip flop.
James and his hermit crab.
Jelly fish.
A fish head stuck in the sand. Big teeth!

New Home

James made my favorite spaghetti sauce as our first cooked meal in our new place.
Here's our incredibly messy living room/dining room. It looks better now, I promise.
James serving up some of that yummy spaghetti.

foggy day in houston town

On my way to work, I was snapping pictures of the foggy day in Houston Town. You can barely see the sun!
It's especially foggy by the bayous. This neighborhood is right by one.

James' new shower poof

I recently bought James a new shower poof and one day we came home to find that Otis had chewed it up before James got to use it! Can you tell it was really a poof????

Hey Maaannnn

Meryl's Surgery

My camera hasn't had batteries with juice for months, and I finally solved that, so here's a pic from when I had surgery in January. I have no idea why, but my face was super swollen when I got out of surgery. Maybe it was from laying on my stomach the whole time? When I came to after the surgery, James goes, "Man, it looks like you were in a fight!" We thought it was funny, so here I am with my puffy face and dirty hair 24 hours after surgery. I also have a picture of my enormous bandages on my back, but didn't think it was appropriate to post. It was funny because it looks like the nurses taped a giant diaper or pad onto my lower back.
