We took Merle to Galveston to have a lunch picnic on the beach. It was in the 50's and really, really windy, but we stayed anyway! For 30 minutes. :) James and I were so cold, we wrapped the towel we were supposed to sit on around us. While we were there, we got some new shells, saw a guy kite surfing (Merle said, "That guy is crazy!"), and tried to stay warm. Merle wanted to check out the Gulf's temperature so he waded in the water. He said the water was warmer than at home.
To warm up and see more of Galveston, we went to Moody Gardens and checked out their aquarium. They had seals, fish, sharks, turtles, penguins, eels, and more. I liked the part where the aquarium surrounds you.
