Gifts from Auntie Clara's Daughters

Auntie Clara was my Grandma Guerie's sister, so she's actually my Great Aunt, but everyone called her Auntie Clara anyway. She was a beautiful lady in so many ways. Our Baby Clara is named after her and we hope she'll be as lovely as Auntie Clara. Her daughters, Martina and Rachel, sent Baby Clara wonderful gifts!A quilt made by Martina. Love the colors!

I thought Clara looked so darn cute the other morning. She was wide awake and very content and looked like she was so comfy relaxing on the bed.I eat my breakfast in bed...

Gifts from Amauk

Amauk means Great Grandma where I'm from, and Clara's Amauk sent her some beautiful gifts! Handmade kuspuk (pullover) and mukluks (booties). I couldn't fit the kuspuk over Clara's Eskimo head, but wanted to show it off anyway! Clara's Amauk is my mom's mom, Ellen Slwooko. Beautiful lady. She included an angel pin on the kuspuk.

The design on the yellow beaded part is a yellow heart with a white cross in it. Amauk even lined the mukluks with the same fabric as the kuspuk! And added some fur soles so Clara's feet would be nice and comfy.

Sleepy Squirrel

Outside the kitchen window, we noticed a squirrel getting some rest in the shadow! He kept switching his position to get more comfy. I've never seen a squirrel so lazy!

Good Food and Good Art

Mom Bonelli prepared a meatball dinner for us while she was here and it was so good! It was so good having our Bonelli parents in the house. We already can't wait til they come back again! I was able to get things done and relax while they kept Clara happy. I even helped paint the house a little!Cooking away!
Mom Bonelli's sour cream chocolate chip cake...mmmmm...I had put this recipe in my recipe box exactly a year ago, but never bought a bundt pan for it! Mom Bonelli made due with a regular pan...
Dad was super helpful in hanging up our art in the dining room. James and I were trying to be really mathematical about it, but Jimmy came in and eyeballed everything to perfection!!!

Clara Makes Noise

Hope this video works! I took it on May 23rd while she made baby noises in her crib. She's much more content laying by herself these days. I can lay her for 20 minutes either in her crib or her baby gym mat. She can follow Mommy and Daddy when they move past her, too! Too big already.
